A Company With A Purpose
With their love of the great outdoors comes an equally passionate respect for the preservation of open space and natural resources. Timberland has constantly strived to uphold a policy of transparency, outlining factory and company practices as well as testing a footwear “nutrition label” to accurately show the contents and environmental impact of their products.
Timberland also founded Earthkeepers, whose mission is to “inspire and engage” people to live a more earth-friendly life by recycling, reducing resource consumption, and becoming more aware of our impact on the environment. With an obvious value for accountability, there goals and progress towards being truely enviromentally friendly are posted on their website.

Headwear with a Mission
In their Autumn Winter 2010 headwear line, Timberland offers a number of styles that have earned the Earthkeepers seal of approval. All select Earthkeeper styles are made of 100% organic cotton, which means the farmers have moved away from the use of chemicals to grow the fiber.
